Driver arrested after Arizona school bus carrying kids goes into ditch
PHOENIX – An Arizona man was arrested on suspicion of impairment after the school bus he was driving in ended up in a ditch Monday, injuring several children, authorities said.
The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office said deputies arrested Charles Hoag, 65, after the incident near Hoctor Road and Buena Vista Trail in Williams.
Sixteen elementary school students were on the bus when it left the roadway, the sheriff’s office said.
Two children were taken to a Flagstaff hospital for evaluation, and several others reportedly suffered minor injuries.
The bus was not damaged.
No other information was immediately available.
An investigation into the case is ongoing.
