Live blog: President Trump visits Arizona for 2 campaign events

PHOENIX — President Donald Trump visited the battleground state of Arizona on Monday for two campaign events, 15 days before the election.

Trump hosted rallies at Prescott’s airport at noon and Tucson’s airport at 3 p.m. after spending the morning in Las Vegas.

It was Trump’s sixth visit to Arizona during the election cycle.

The president had campaign stops scheduled for earlier this month in Tucson and Flagstaff canceled because he was in quarantine after contracting coronavirus.

Here’s the latest on Trump’s visit to the Grand Canyon State:

4:41 p.m.

Trump has concluded his Tucson campaign event after speaking for about an hour.

3:45 p.m.

Trump has arrived in Tucson for his rally at the airport. He was accompanied by Ducey and McSally.

2:37 p.m.

Trump returned to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport before departing for his Tucson rally.

1:49 p.m.

Trump has concluded speaking at the Prescott rally after about 70 minutes. His next stop is a 3 p.m. scheduled rally in Tucson.

1:11 p.m.

Trump turns the stage over to Ducey, who guarantees the president will win Arizona in 15 days.

1:11 p.m.

Trump asks the crowd to vote for Martha McSally, who is up against Democrat Mark Kelly for a U.S. Senate seat in Arizona.

12:40 p.m.

Trump has started speaking at the rally at the Prescott airport.

11:50 a.m.

Trump departed Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport by helicopter for his campaign rally in Prescott.

11:36 a.m.

Trump was greeted on the tarmac by Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey and U.S. Sen. Martha McSally. Trump was not wearing a mask. The president then answered questions from the media.

11:24 a.m.

Trump has landed in Phoenix ahead of his two scheduled rallies in Arizona.

10:27 a.m.

Trump’s motorcade arrived at Air Force One in Las Vegas and was readying for departure to Phoenix. Trump will be flying into Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.
