North Valley restrictions on I-17, Loop 101 to affect weekend drivers

PHOENIX — Restrictions in the North Valley on Interstate 17 and Loop 101 will affect weekend drivers, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
First, all I-17 on- and off-ramps at Happy Valley Road in north Phoenix will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 p.m. Sunday for lane striping and other work necessary to open the new diverging diamond interchange.
Happy Valley Road will also be closed in both directions approaching I-17 between 23rd and 29th avenues during that time.
Also, the eastbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway will be narrowed to two lanes between Cave Creek Road and State Route 51 from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project.

Additionally, the eastbound Loop 101 ramp to southbound SR-51 SB will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night from Friday to Monday for a widening project.
Finally, eastbound Interstate 10 will be narrowed to one lane from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday and Monday nights near the Sacaton Rest Area south of the East Valley for paving.
