PHOENIX — There will be a new holiday jamboree at the baseball complex at Salt River Fields starting in late November.

The event, dubbed Holiday Lights at Salt River Fields, is a 1.2-mile course that features 5 million lights strung up around the facility, which is used by the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies.

The inaugural iteration of the event will kick off on Nov. 23, running through New Year’s Eve, with tickets ranging from $35 for general admission to $355 for a 12-person carriage ride.

Salt River Fields general manager Dave Dunne said in a press release that the holiday lights festival will add to the Valley’s holiday scene.

“Salt River Fields is very happy to bring in another fun family event that can be participated in safely,” Dunne said in the release. “With 2020 being such a difficult year for everyone, we look forward to seeing many smiling, happy faces at this wonderful event.”

This year’s debut event will include Hanukkah Lights, on Dec. 10, where blue-and-white lights will be featured in commemoration of the opening night of Hanukkah.

The event will also feature six tunnels of holiday lights that feature a variety of holiday mainstays, such as ornaments, snowflakes, Christmas presents and more.

Dunne believes the holiday lights drive-in parade can become a fixture in the Valley, given the popularity of similar shows in different parts of the Valley.

“We’re happy to host Holiday Lights at our award-winning stadium in the heart of the Talking Stick Entertainment District and believe this will become a Valley tradition,” Dunne said in the release.
