Tree trimmer dies in Phoenix after being trapped under palm fronds

PHOENIX — Authorities in Phoenix said a man was killed Tuesday while trimming trees at a private home.
Firefighters say the man, a professional tree trimmer, became trapped underneath the fronds of a palm tree near 20th Street and Indian School Road.
A crew from Technical Rescue and Teams were dispatched shortly after 10 a.m. and arrived to find the man in the tree approximately 20 feet above the ground.
The team was unable to resuscitate the man after getting him out of the tree and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim has not been identified and no further information was available.
Phoenix police will complete an investigation into the incident.
