PHOENIX — The world’s largest drive-through animated light show of the holiday season is returning to Glendale and Tempe.

World of Illumination will return to Glendale on Nov. 6 and to Tempe on Nov. 10, the Tempe-based company announced Monday in a press release.

World of Illumination is breaking ground on two new venues — Arctic Adventure at Tempe Diablo Stadium and Rockin’ Christmas at Westgate — this week.

“All of us at World of Illumination are so excited to be able to provide safe and much-needed family entertainment to our communities this holiday season,” Yakir Urman, the company’s co-founder, said in a press release.

“So buckle up, and get ready for the ride of your life because we are here to make sure 2020 ends with positive memories.”

Arctic Adventure will feature a 36-foot animated snowman named Sunny. Rockin’ Christmas, meanwhile, will feature a 500-foot tunnel that doubles as Santa’s magic portal.

The shows will also have millions of RGB LED lights synchronized to popular holiday music, a 3D component and fake snow.

Reservations will be online-only and since the shows are viewable in a car, World Of Illumination said it will be socially distant and safe.

Tickets start at $29 per vehicle on weeknights and $39 per car on weekends and holidays.

The shows will run from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. every day — holidays included — through Jan. 3.

We want to hear from you.
