PHOENIX – The Chandler Police Department arrested a 26-year-old man for an ongoing sexual exploitation scheme.
Police arrested Devon Raj Sharma on Sept. 18 after previously serving a search warrant at his home.
An investigation revealed Sharma posed as a female on various social media accounts. Authorities said he would contact underage females and ask them to send exploitative images.
Sharma would allegedly offer the girls payment for the photos, often posing as a modeling agency.
Sharma was arrested by Chandler police in 2017 for a similar case, according to authorities.
He is currently being held at the Maricopa County jail on charges that include sexual exploitation of a minor, fraud schemes, computer tampering, pandering and sex trafficking, according to authorities.
Chandler police believe there could be additional victims that Sharma targeted in the metro Phoenix area.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Chandler Police Department computer crimes unit at 480-782-4108.
