PHOENIX — The Town of Buckeye will host its annual Halloween parade for the 80th consecutive year, albeit in a non-traditional manner.

This year’s event, which is scheduled from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 24, will be a drive-thru carnival at Skyline Regional Park (2600 N Watson Rd).

The celebration will continue to be free and attendees are still encouraged to dress up in costume and to decorate their vehicles in honor of the holiday.

The parade will feature five different stops where trick-or-treaters receive a variety of Halloween treats and other goodies.

The festival will follow all CDC guidelines, with staff wearing masks and gloves, hand sanitizer stations and frequent disinfecting of commonly used spaces.

The town asks that all attendees stay in their vehicle throughout the event and turn off their headlights, while keeping parking lights on for safety.

For more information on this year’s event, visit the town’s website.

We want to hear from you.
