State Route 51 northbound reopens at Shea Boulevard exit following crash

PHOENIX — State Route 51 northbound was closed at the Shea Boulevard exit after a crash near the exit ramp due to a possible wrong-way driver early Saturday morning.
The crash reportedly happened around 1:45 a.m. as authorities immediately closed the exit ramp.

Police then expanded the closed section of the road, forcing drivers northbound to exit at 32nd Street.
One suspect was taken into custody.
Police reopened the road at approximately 8:50 a.m., following an investigation.
