I-17 in North Valley, Loop 202 in Chandler among weekend closures

PHOENIX – Closures on Interstate 17 in the North Valley and on the Loop 202 in Chandler are among restrictions drivers will face this weekend, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
In the North Valley, I-17 southbound will be closed between Jomax and Deer Valley roads from 2 a.m. Saturday to 3 a.m. on Monday for a resurfacing project.
Also near the I-17, Peoria Avenue will be closed in both directions approaching the freeway from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for storm drain construction.
The on an off-ramps at Peoria Avenue will also be closed.
Drivers in the North Valley will have another road closure to be mindful of. The northbound State Route 51 ramp to westbound Loop 101 and the exit to Black Mountain Boulevard will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project.

Drivers in Chandler will face closures on the Loop 202 San Tan Freeway for pavement improvements.
The westbound lanes will be closed from the Loop 101 to Interstate 10 from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday while eastbound Loop 202 will be narrowed to one lane in the area.
As a result, southbound Loop 101 to westbound 202 and the westbound 202 off-ramp at Price Road will be closed.
Also, eastbound Loop 101 will be narrowed to two lanes between SR 51 and 56th Street overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday to Monday nights for a widening project.
The on and off-ramps for at Tatum Boulevard will be closed during that time.
