PHOENIX – An Arizona grand jury has indicted two men on multiple drug and weapons charges involving methamphetamine and high-powered rifles.

Jorge Dario Burboa Arevalo, 44, and Luis Domingo Santillan, 24, are accused of being part of a drug trafficking ring, the Arizona Attorney General’s Office said Tuesday in a press release.

Both men were indicted Aug. 25 on 14 felony charges: 10 counts of misconduct involving weapons and one count each of conspiracy, illegal enterprise, sale of dangerous drugs and possession of dangerous drugs for sale.

Their trial is scheduled to begin in December, according to court records.

Authorities say law enforcement officers observed the suspects engaging in what appeared to be a drug transaction.

Investigators served a warrant on the men’s home and found 20 pounds of methamphetamine and 10 AK-47 style rifles, according to the release.
