Forbes: Chandler school district is top Arizona-based company to work for

PHOENIX — The Chandler Unified School District was the highest-ranked locally-based organization on Forbes’ best employers list for employees in Arizona.
The school district was ranked No. 4 on the annual list and employs around 4,675 employees, according to the list.
Chandler Unified enrolls more than 46,000 students in grades K-12, according to the district’s website.
Forbes compiled the list by surveying 80,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 500 employees from October 2019 to May 2020.
The United States Automobile Association (USAA), whose headquarters in San Antonio, ranked as the best company for Arizonans to work for overall.
Costco Wholesale was ranked second with health care provider Mayo Clinic coming in at third. Tech giant Apple rounded out the top 5.
Other school districts that ranked on the list included Gilbert Public Schools (No. 23), Amphitheater Public Schools (No. 35), Deer Valley Unified School District (No. 56) and Sunnyside Unified School District (No. 63).
The University of Arizona (No. 10) and Grand Canyon University (No. 49) also appeared on the list.
Out of the companies ranked for Arizona, 23 of those employers are based locally. Salt River Project (6), Freeport-McMoRan (No. 16), GoDaddy (No. 17). HonorHealth (No. 19) and Arizona Public Service (No. 20) were part of the top 20.
