PHOENIX – Police in suburban Phoenix said a pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run Monday but they have a partial description of the suspected driver’s vehicle.
Eduardo Gabriel Rascon, 26, died at the scene near Chandler Boulevard and McQueen Road around 8 p.m.
Surveillance video from a convenience store showed a dark-colored SUV that was towing a long, empty flatbed trailer driving down the street, Sgt. Jason McClimans told KTAR News 92.3 FM.
Witnesses told officers the vehicle didn’t stop after the accident and headed west on Chandler Boulevard.
“We believe this vehicle has severe passenger front-end damage,” McClimans said.
Police ask that anyone with information about the case call police at 480-782-4130 or 480-WITNESS. Silent Witness is offering an award of up to $1,000 for informations leading to the arrest or indictment of the suspect.
