PHOENIX – Organizers of the annual Chandler Ostrich Festival have postponed the event again until March, they announced.

“The safety of the community is our top priority and because the state and federal executive orders on large gathers are still in effect, the Ostrich Festival will be postponed until March of 2021,” the chamber said in a social media post Friday.

The festival, which originally was scheduled to run mid-March, was first postponed that month because of the coronavirus pandemic.

It was the first time the family-fun festival had been pushed back in its 32 years. Musical acts 98 Degrees and Blues Traveler were supposed to headline the event.

In May, a new date was set for Halloween weekend.

The festival features carnival rides, food vendors, arts and crafts, a parade and animal races.

All tickets purchased this year will be honored during the 2021 dates.

The Ostrich Festival is held at Tumbleweed Park at McQueen and Germann roads.

Adult tickets are $15. Tickets for seniors and children 4-12 years old cost $8, and admission is free for children younger than 4.

We want to hear from you.
