Scottsdale police seeking public’s help in 2003 cold case

PHOENIX — The Scottsdale Police Department is looking for help in solving a 2003 sexual assault cold case.

On June 3, 2003, an unknown male entered a victim’s apartment near 70th Street and Thomas Road where he sexually assaulted the woman.

The attack occurred between 10:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.

The man was described as a white male in his 30s at the time of the attack. He was believed to be around 5 feet 10 inches tall and between 185 and 195 pounds.

The suspect was wearing a white-and-orange pinstriped collared dress shirt, blue jeans and dark shoes with laces.

The composite sketch the victim helped provide was made shortly after the crime occurred.
