Phoenix police arrest hotel manager for alleged sexual abuse, assault
PHOENIX – A Phoenix motel manager was arrested Tuesday for alleged sexual abuse and assault of women during job interviews, authorities said.
Police arrested 51-year-old Chandulal Dhanani on six counts of sexual abuse and one count of assault.
The arrest is based on an investigation into reports between January 2019 and June 2020. According to police, four of the incidents included reports of Dhanani sexually abusing women by grabbing their breasts during interviews at his motel.
Another report involved an incident with Dhanani and a female guest.
Police say the attacks happened at two locations– one near 51st Avenue and McDowell Road and another near 52nd Street and McDowell.
DNA evidence linked Dhanani to at least one of the incidents, police said.
The department’s adult sex crimes units made the arrest.
