Loop 101 closures to affect weekend traffic in North Valley, East Valley
PHOENIX — Weekend drivers in the North Valley and East Valley will have to contend with a series of closures along the Loop 101, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
In the North Valley, the eastbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway will be closed between Cave Creek Road and State Route 51 from 10 p.m. Friday until until 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project.
The eastbound Loop 101 on-ramp at at Seventh Street will also be closed during this time.
Further east, the westbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway on-ramp at 56th Street will be closed for approximately two months starting 9 p.m. Sunday due to a widening project.
The eastbound and westbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway will both be narrowed to two lanes between Scottsdale and Hayden roads for a widening project from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Saturday.
Finally, in the East Valley, the northbound Loop 101 Price Freeway will be closed between Baseline and Broadway roads from 8 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday for pavement improvements.
Ramps from U.S. 60 to the northbound Loop 101 and the Loop 101 on-ramp to Guadalupe Road will also be closed during this time.
