Dust advisory issued for southwest portion of Maricopa County

PHOENIX — A dust advisory was issued for the southwestern portion of Maricopa County on Tuesday night, according to the National Weather Service.
The advisory primarily affected Goodyear, Buckeye, Highway 85, Interstate 8 and a portion of Interstate 10.
The advisory, issued at 7:09 p.m., was initially set to end at 8:15 p.m. before being extended until 8:45 p.m.
The Arizona Department of Transportation warned drivers on State Route 347 to be mindful of blowing dust.

Around 6:40 p.m., the National Weather Service had issued a separate dust advisory that was lifted at 7:30 p.m.
