Avondale police seek help in identifying man found in river bottom

PHOENIX — The Avondale Police Department has asked for the public’s help in identifying a man who was found last year in a river bottom.
The body was discovered July 5, 2019, near Eliseo C. Felix, Jr. Way and Van Buren Street, according to authorities.
Police described the man as 5-foot, 10-inches tall, white and between 50 and 80 years old.
The deceased also had Harley Davidson and “USAF Special Forces” tattoos on his left arm.
It is believed he may have been homeless.
The cause of death has not been determined, though there was no evidence of foul play.
