Arizona prison sergeant charged with sexual assault, kidnapping
PHOENIX – A sergeant at an Arizona state prison was arrested Thursday night and charged with sexual assault, kidnapping and sexual abuse.

The agency said in a press release it “does not tolerate inappropriate conduct by its staff or offenders under supervision, and supports prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.”
No details about the alleged crimes were made available.
Pinal County Attorney’s Office spokesman Trevor Smith told The Associated Press prosecutors were reviewing the case but he could not immediately provide additional information on the matter.
The corrections department’s Criminal Investigations Unit at the Florence collaborated with the Pinal County Attorney’s Office in making the arrest.
