Arizona DPS arrests, charges 7 in Mesa over alleged drug enterprise

PHOENIX — Arizona Department of Public Safety’s Maricopa County Criminal Targeting Unit have arrested and charged seven suspects in connection to an alleged illegal drug sales operation at an undisclosed residence in Mesa, authorities said.

On Tuesday, authorities made public the names and photographs of the seven individuals who had been arrested and charged as part of the investigation:

  • Wendie Clement — charged with narcotic drug possession, conspiracy, illegal control of an enterprise and prescription drug possession/use
  • Mary Foley — charged with conspiracy, drug paraphernalia possession/use, narcotic drug possession and prescription drug possession
  • Lyndsay Mitchell — charged with conspiracy, drug paraphernalia possession/use, narcotic drug possession/use and prescription drug possession/use
  • Jason Bowen — charged with conspiracy, drug paraphernalia possession/use, narcotic drug possession/use and prescription drug possession
  • Stephen Lange — charged with conspiracy, drug paraphernalia possession, narcotic drug possession and prescription drug possession
  • Heather Pyatt — charged with conspiracy
  • Zachary Burger — charged with conspiracy

Clement, Foley, Mitchell, Bowel and Pyatt were arrested at the residence on July 15 and July 29; Burger and Lange were arrested July 15.

A total of 10 suspects had been arrested at the residence on July 15.

Following the first round of arrests and the release of the suspects from jail, heavy vehicle traffic at the scene of the arrest continued to be reported.

After the July 29 arrests, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office placed a racketeering lien on the residence.

An investigation is still ongoing.
