PHOENIX — Country music fans will have to wait until next year to attend Country Thunder in Florence, Arizona, as the annual festival was postponed to April 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The new dates will be April 8-11, 2021, with Luke Combs, Eric Church, Morgan Wallen and Dustin Lynch scheduled to perform.
Country Thunder posted on the official website that it became clear the festival could not be held safely in 2020 after consulting with government and health officials and continued monitoring of reopening phases in the state.
Tickets for the postponed Country Thunder will automatically be transferred to the 2021 event with no action required, according to the website.
Those who want to cancel their Country Thunder ticket will get more information in an email on July 31 and have until Aug. 14 to cancel their order.
A refund can be expected within around 30 days of the original request, according to the website, with funds being returned to the payment option chosen when the tickets were purchased.
This is the second time Country Thunder was postponed in 2020 due to the virus.
The festival was originally scheduled to take place in April 2020 but was moved to October 29 to November 1 prior to being postponed again to 2021.
