PHOENIX — Valleywise Health is partnering with the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System to host a phone bank to help those who have recently become unemployed or uninsured during the coronavirus pandemic.
The phone bank will be held Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon on the third floor of the Valleywise Comprehensive Health Center at 2525 E. Roosevelt Street in Phoenix.
The phone bank’s primary focus is assisting those looking for insurance coverage through AHCCCS.
The eligibility specialists will determine if individuals qualify, how they can apply and also provide information on health care services through the state’s Medicaid program.
The specialists will be taking phone calls in both English and Spanish. Individuals seeking information can call (602) 344-1600.
About 65% of the patients Valleywise Health serves are covered by AHCCCS or other methods of sliding scale payments, the company said.
