Troopers stop wrong-way driver on Loop 101 in Phoenix

PHOENIX – A wrong-way driver was taken into custody early Friday, stopped by state troopers on Loop 101 in metro Phoenix.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said in an email to KTAR News 92.3 FM the driver had gotten onto the freeway near Scottsdale Road going westbound in eastbound lanes around midnight.
Troopers managed to stop the car close to the Tatum Boulevard ramp.
ABC15 reported no one was injured.
No other information was immediately available.
