Freeway closures in north Phoenix, East Valley to affect weekend drivers

PHOENIX — Freeway closures in north Phoenix and the East Valley will affect drivers this weekend, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
In north Phoenix, northbound Interstate 17 will be closed between Dunlap Avenue and Cactus Road from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for pavement work.
The northbound I-17 on-ramp at Northern Avenue will also be closed during that time.
In the East Valley, the northbound Loop 101 Price Freeway will be closed between Ray Road and U.S. 60 from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for pavement improvements including diamond grinding of the concrete surface.

The northbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Chandler Boulevard will also be closed during that time.
Finally, Central Avenue will be closed in both directions at the I-17 south of downtown Phoenix from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for the removal of old southbound I-17 bridge as part of an ongoing bridge replacement project.
