Scottsdale police asking for public’s help with information in park attack

PHOENIX – Scottsdale police are asking for the public’s help with information about an assault that took place last month.
Officers believe Oscar Goodman was assaulted by multiple subjects June 28 at Cactus Park around 10:30 p.m.
According to the Scottsdale Police Department, there is a possibility the crime was racially motivated.
Because of his injuries, Goodman has little recollection of the events, according to authorities.
The family has set up a GoFundMe page to help with Goodman’s medical expenses, which said he suffered a fractured jaw, broken ribs and a lacerated chin in the attack.

In a video posted to the page, Goodman thanked everyone who had reached out and supported him.
“To see the support behind the whole thing, it means a lot,” Goodman said.
As of Monday evening, the page had raised over $34,000 for Goodman’s medical fees.
