Man turns himself in after killing wife at Black Canyon City home

PHOENIX — A 64-year-old man turned himself in to police on Saturday after admitting to killing his wife the day before, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office.
Donald Scott turned himself in to the Cottonwood Police Department around 3 p.m., saying he killed his wife in their Black Canyon City home.
Police found the woman dead in the home near Mesquite Drive and Interstate 17 with evidence matching the story Scott told.
He was booked into the Camp Verde Detention Center on a 1st-degree murder charge.
The name of the victim was not released.
