Firefighters battling fast-moving brush fire in Goodyear

PHOENIX — Fire crews are battling a brush fire that ignited in Goodyear on Friday.
The fire, which started burning around 6:30 p.m., is near 133rd Ave and Indian Springs Road.
According to the Goodyear Fire Department, the blaze is up against a river bottom and is moving quickly.

While no homes are immediately threatened yet, crews are evacuating nearby homes in a precautionary measure.
Officials have advised those who live in the area to have a plan in place as the fire is spreading.
Multiple agencies are working to contain the fire.
The cause of the fire is not immediately known.
