PHOENIX — Metro Phoenix drivers will face a weekend of light traffic restrictions despite closures on three freeways, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

In the North Valley, a widening project will close the Loop 101 westbound Pima Freeway between State Route 51 and Cave Creek Road from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday.

The SR 51 northbound ramp to to the Loop 101 westbound will also be closed during this time.

In the East Valley, the Loop 202 eastbound Santan Freeway will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday until 9 a.m. Saturday between the Interstate 10 and Kyrene Road for maintenance of traffic flow sensors.

During the same time, all ramps between I-10 and the Loop 202 eastbound will also be closed.

Further east, pavement improvements will close the Loop 101 northbound Price Freeway between the Loop 202 and Warner Road from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday.

The Loop 101 northbound on-ramp at Price Road will also be closed during this time.
