Man pleads guilty to voting twice in 2016 general election, once in Arizona

PHOENIX — A Nevada man pled guilty to voting twice in the 2016 general election, one of which was in Arizona.
Randy Allen Jumper of Incline Village, Nevada, pled guilty before Judge Christopher Browning in Pima County Superior Court.
Jumper, 62, was indicted by an Arizona grand jury in July 2019 after voting once in Pima County and once in Washoe County, Nevada.
According to a press release from the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, Jumper was also charged for making a false declaration after signing a statement under the penalty of perjury that stated: “I have not voted and will not vote in this election in any other county or state.”

However, Jumper signed a plea agreement on June 15 which resolves him of those charges.
The plea agreement will see Jumper pay a $5,000 fine in addition to court-ordered fees and surcharges.
As part of his sentencing, Jumper’s right to vote in the state of Arizona has been revoked and he will not be permitted to re-register while on probation.
