PHOENIX — In the midst of an uncertain economic climate, a free virtual career fair will be held for veterans in the Phoenix area this week.

Disabled American Veterans and Bradley-Morris/RecruitMilitary will host the Phoenix Virtual Career Fair for Veterans on Thursday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., according to a press release.

“We care deeply about the military community we serve that includes job seekers, employers and our own team,” RecruitMilitary Senior Vice President Chris Newsome said in the release.

“Given the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control regarding COVID-19, to protect the safety of everyone involved, we shifted all upcoming in-person hiring events into our virtual veteran career fair platform … We’re proud to continue serving those who need us during this time to secure employment and sustain workforce development.”

Some of the industries with the highest demand for military trained personnel include those operating within the realms of distribution, supply chain, logistics, e-commerce, data storage, pharmaceuticals and various retail sectors, the release stated.

Past and present military members — as well as their spouses and dependents — can register for the fair online.
