PHOENIX — A 28-year-old woman died after being struck by two vehicles on Friday night, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The incident occurred just before 9:15 p.m. near 30th Avenue and Thomas Road in Phoenix.
Police say that the woman was attempting to cross Thomas Road when an eastbound SUV driven by an 86-year-old man struck her.
The woman “went up and over the vehicle and then landed in the roadway,” according to authorities.
A pickup truck that was driven by a 61-year-old man then hit the woman while she was on the ground, police said.
She was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
Both of the drivers remained on scene and were evaluated, but neither showed signs of impairment, authorities said.
