PHOENIX – A Phoenix tree trimmer apparently died Monday morning after making contact with electrical wires, authorities said.
Technical rescue teams responded for a tree rescue to a house in the area of 28th Street and Indian School Road around 9 a.m., according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
Crisostomo Hernandez, 28, who had been working on palm trees in the back yard, was found unresponsive and not showing signs of life.
The fire department said it appears Hernandez made contact with overhead lines.
The power company was working to secure the lines at the scene, and the fire department said it was developing a recovery plan.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
