60-year-old Phoenix man hospitalized after possible drowning incident

PHOENIX — A 60-year-old Phoenix man was in critical condition on Monday following a possible drowning incident, authorities said.

The incident occurred near West Hearn Road and N. 43rd Ave. where authorities responded to a call around 4:50 p.m.

At approximately 5 p.m., the patient was en route to a local hospital, according to an email from the Phoenix Fire Department.

Firefighters are currently on the scene and the Phoenix Police Department will be investigating the cause of the incident.

No other information was immediately available.
