PHOENIX — Fry’s Food Stores has announced additional dates that will provide free coronavirus drive-thru testing for those in the Tempe area.

In partnership with The Little Clinic and the city of Tempe, Fry’s will conduct the tests May 20 through May 23 and May 27 through May 30 at Tempe Diablo Stadium, according to a press release issued Monday.

Testing will occur from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“There are many in the state who haven’t yet been able to be tested and we want to extend that option to them without cost,” President of Fry’s Food Stores Monica Garnes said in the release.

Registration is required to receive testing. Those interested may do so online or by calling 1-888-852-2567.

The test consists of self-administered nasal swabs and requires a few minutes to complete. Results are said to be expected within approximately 48 hours.

Patients must remain in their vehicles throughout the process.

Fry’s is also set to return to normal hours of operation beginning May 24.

“Returning to standard operating hours will allow us to further promote social distancing and is also a reflection of our confidence to serve our customers and keep shelves stocked with fresh, affordable food and available products,” Garnes said.
