PHOENIX – The body of a woman found in the desert of a Phoenix suburb a month ago is still unidentified, police said, and they need the public’s help to change that.

Buckeye Police said in a press release the body was found April 17 in the West Valley several miles from Indian School Road and 355th Avenue.

They believe she had already been dead for a month or even as long as eight months.

The woman’s age could be from 33 to 58, and she was 5 foot, 3 inches tall. Her lower jaw protruded and her teeth were in poor condition. A tattoo on the right side of her neck read “Joe” or “Foe.”

Anyone with relevant information should call police at 623-349-6400 or the tip line at 623-349-6411 or email them at bpdtips@buckeyeaz.gov.

They can also contact the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office at 602-506-2083.

We want to hear from you.
