PHOENIX – As schools across Arizona and the country closed down because of coronavirus, educators thought of their students.
Arizona teachers’ school year officially came to an end in late March, when Gov. Doug Ducey and Superintendent of Public Instruction Kathy Hoffman announced campuses were shutting down.
But teachers efforts are still being recognized despite social distancing during Teacher Appreciation Week, which runs through Friday.
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! More than ever, we have seen how dedicated and creative teachers are for our students. How will you celebrate teachers this week? #ThankATeacher https://t.co/RiOuGztXp8 pic.twitter.com/VvA7XwsBJ1

- Write a message in chalk on the sidewalk outside your home.
- Share messages with appropriate hashtags on social media.
