PHOENIX – Arizona’s movie theaters are still closed because of the state’s stay-at-home order during the coronavirus pandemic, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get out of the house and enjoy a popular flick on the big screen.
Salt River Fields in Scottsdale is hosting a drive-in experience this weekend.
A pair of 2019 blockbusters, “Frozen 2” and “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” will be screened Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the spring training home of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The animated Disney sequel is set to start at 7 p.m. each night, and the third installment of the latest Star Wars trilogy begins at 9:30 p.m.

The movies will be played on a high-definition screen in the center field parking lot. The stadium is located at 7555 N. Pima Road.
Admission is $25 per vehicle, and tickets must be purchased online in advance.
Bring your own treats or preorder concessions, because no food and drink will be sold onsite. Online offerings include a $20 family pack with a large popcorn, two candies and four waters.
You should arrive up to 30 minutes before the showtimes, but don’t be too late, because no vehicles will be admitted 15 minutes after the start.
Attendees must stay in their vehicles to watch the movies – no chairs allowed – although stadium restrooms will be open.
No alcohol or pets are allowed.
