PHOENIX – Three Chandler children taken from home by their father have been found safe, canceling an Amber Alert issued early Wednesday.
Police found Stephan Charles Robinson, 36, with Nya Robinson, 8, Stachia Robinson, 6, and Stephan Robinson, 2, at a relative’s home in the Valley.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the children went missing Tuesday. Robinson had driven away with the children in a gray 2013 Nissan Pathfinder, Arizona license plate CHT5393 around 11:30 p.m.
Investigators said they believed Robinson posed a credible threat to the children. Authorities also said he had threatened to kill himself.
Police said the children’s mother was out of town.
Robinson was taken into custody around 6:40 a.m., less than 45 minutes after the alert had been sent.
