PHOENIX — Arizona is joining the rest of the country in lighting up blue to honor those on the frontlines of the coronavirus outbreak.
Blue lit up the night across Arizona on Wednesday, from the state capitol in Phoenix to Tucson City Hall and up to Flagstaff at the Northern Arizona University campus.

Valley locations that turned blue include the Tempe Town Lake bridge, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, the Phoenix Convention Center and Gilbert water tower.
Sports stadiums also showed their support of the cause, with Chase Field, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks, and the Arizona Coyotes’ Gila River Arena turning blue last week.
Positive coronavirus cases in Arizona on Thursday reached 4,234, with 47,398 tests having been given, and 150 deaths.
Nationally, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 24,582 deaths from more than 605,000 COVID-19 cases as of Wednesday’s daily U.S. update.
