PHOENIX — Two men were arrested in Glendale on Thursday after shooting at police officers, authorities said.
Police attempted to stop a stolen vehicle near Glendale and El Mirage roads at about 2 p.m. when at least one of the suspects shot and struck a detective’s vehicle, Glendale Police Sgt. Randy Stewart said in an email.
The suspects, who were not identified, fled the area but were stopped near Indian School and El Mirage roads.
The suspects were then safely taken into custody. At least one firearm was recovered, Stewart said.
No officers were injured and an investigation into the incident was underway.
