PHOENIX — A woman who went missing from her Paradise Valley home and was the subject of a recent Silver Alert was found dead in a backyard Wednesday, authorities said.
Laleah Jo Ebentier, 84, had last been seen walking April 8 near 52nd Street and Doubletree Ranch Road.
Police said there were no signs of foul play at the scene in a Paradise Valley yard, but detectives continued to investigate.
They believed Ebentier, who suffered from dementia and had limited mobility, may have received a courtesy ride.
The Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death.
