Peoria police officer arrested on domestic violence charges

PHOENIX — An officer in the Peoria Police Department has been arrested and faces two charges of domestic violence.
The Surprise Police Department took Officer Kevin Moe into custody on Tuesday evening after being notified of a domestic violence incident around 8 p.m., according to a statement from the department.
Following an investigation, Moe was charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.
An initial press release from the Peoria Police Department stated that Moe was immediately placed on administrative leave.
“Moe will remain on administrative leave at least until the completion of the internal investigation,” according to the release.
“We hold all members of our Department to the highest standards and thoroughly investigate all incidents of alleged misconduct.”
No other information was immediately available.
