PHOENIX — In an effort to answer questions about coronavirus, Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey announced the launch of the state’s COVID-19 hotline on Sunday.
Arizonans can dial 2-1-1 to ask questions and voice concerns about COVID-19.
“As we continue to combat COVID-19 in Arizona, we want to ensure the public has access to resources needed to stay safe and healthy,” Ducey said in a press release.
The hotline features information in both English and Spanish about prevention, testing and what to do if an individual gets sick.
Additionally, callers can get information about which populations are at a higher risks, websites with accurate and up-to-date information and how COVID-19 affects animals.
The hotline is funded with $2 million from the Arizona Department of Economic Security.
The initiative is a partnership between 2-1-1 Arizona, Crisis Response Network, Governor’s Office, AZDES and Arizona Department of Health Services.
The line will operate 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day and can only be reached if the individual is in Arizona.
