PHOENIX — Fry’s Food Stores announced Thursday it will start hiring workers immediately in order to accommodate increased demand due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The grocery chain is seeking to fill more than 500 hourly positions — including entry level management — to help keep store shelves stocked with food and other essentials.
“Our associates are showing up for our customers and communities when they need us most,” said Fry’s Corporate Affairs Manager Pam Giannonatti.
“With the increased workload, we are hiring immediately to make sure we have the food and supplies our customers need.”
Those interested in working for Fry’s Food Stores can inquire online or in person at one of the chain’s locations.
The announcement from Fry’s Food Stores came the same day Arizona saw its largest single day increase of positive coronavirus test results.
Thursday morning, the Arizona Department of Health Services announced a total of 44 positive cases, an increase of 17 from the previous morning.
