VR Extreme opens its doors at Arizona Boardwalk in Scottsdale

PHOENIX — VR Extreme at Arizona Boardwalk in Scottsdale is officially open, the virtual reality center announced in a press release on Thursday.
There are 10 games and 24 gaming stations that guests of all ages can enjoy.
VR Extreme’s games range from car racing games to shooting games to a roller-coaster ride off the top of a skyscraper.
The 24 gaming stations will provide a variety of ways in which guests can experience the virtual world.
Seated pods are also offered to create a cinematic experience, as well as a multiplayer arena that up to four guests can play together as a team to defeat enemies.
“Virtual reality is the future of gaming and entertainment and we want to be part of it,” general manager Greg Charbeneau said in the release.
“We provide the best immersive experiences possible at Arizona Boardwalk and VR Xtreme delivers some of the most imaginative experiences yet. It really is a never-ending adventure at VR Xtreme.”
Prices vary depending upon how much gaming and virtual reality guests would like to consume.
Options include $7 per experience, $12 for two experiences, $25 for 30 minutes of unlimited experiences and $40 for an hour of unlimited experiences.
For its grand opening, VR Extreme is currently offering a buy-one-get-one-free on its single $7 experience.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. VR Extreme’s hours for the month of March will be daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., with the most up to date hours being on the virtual reality center’s website.
Arizona Boardwalk — formerly known as OdySea in the Desert — will also be adding new attractions to its 35-acre complex.
New additions include a 155-room Hyatt Place Hotel that breaks ground in May and an over 10,000-foot inflatable obstacle course that features obstacle courses, pop-ups and mazes.
The Science of Ripley’s Believe It or Not interactive exhibit is will also be making a stop at Arizona Boardwalk later this year.
