Start planning for summer and save

I’m so excited to be doing the “Wallet Watchers” segment on KTAR Friday at 12:50! If you heard me on air, go to aliciasdealsinaz to “like” Alicia’s Deals in AZ and you’ll never miss a deal! I want to help you “live life better for less” every single day!
Summer is coming and we need to start thinking NOW about ways to keep the kids (and ourselves) cool and entertained!
If you’re thinking about taking a “staycation” this year, click here to get a night Sunday-Thursday at the Arizona Grand Resort for $139 (usually $300) or Friday-Saturday for $159. This includes four passes to the Oasis Waterpark, breakfast for two, and a $50 credit at the spa. Check out the details.
This is one of my all time favorite deals and I’m thrilled that it’s back in time for summer! Click here to snag a one-year family membership to the Arizona Science Center for $59 (usually $142). This will admit up to four people. You’ll also enjoy four free planetarium passes and two extra guest passes.
My favorite part of the membership is the ASTC (Association of Science-Technology Centers) passport program. You’ll get FREE admission with your membership card to well over 100 museums and science centers across the country. In Flagstaff? Visit the Lowell Observatory for free with your card (we go a few times a year and always have a blast…it’s so much fun to look through the huge telescope)! Visiting Tucson (or live there)? See the International Wildlife Museum, the Kitt Peak National Observatory, and Flandrau Science Center for free with your card. Have a trip to San Diego planned? Get into the Ruben H. Fleet Science Center and San Diego Natural History Museum FREE with card. They’re right across from each other in Balboa Park and definitely worth a visit. In Los Angeles, you’ll get in free to the California Science Center and the Natural History Museum. Check out all of the fun museums that give reciprocal benefits to Arizona Science Center members here.
A trip to the Arizona Science Center for two adults and two kids will usually run you $51.90. Add in the four Planetarium admissions included with this deal, you’re at $81.90 for ONE trip! If you go more than once (we go all the time) and visit lots of other museums like we do, the membership will pay for itself again and again.
If you’re looking for an indoor place to get the kids’ energy out, click here to get half off at AZ Air Time trampoline park in Scottsdale. You’ll pay $11 for two hours of jumping and a foam pit pass (a $22 value). This pass is good through July 3rd, so if you plan ahead, you’ll have a summer activity ready to go (at a huge discount).
If you’re closer to Chandler or Glendale, click here to save up to 57% off at JumpStreet! You’ll have until July 3rd to use this one too.
One of my favorite AZ events each year is the Great Arizona Picnic. Click here to pick up two tickets for Sunday, April 14th for $9 (an $18 value). If you haven’t been before, here’s a little bit more information from the Scottsdale Culinary Festival:
“Our signature event, the Great Arizona Picnic presents a weekend of culinary and beverage tasting experiences. Guests wind through the gardens and fountains of the Civic Mall in downtown Scottsdale while they sample tasty bites from over 50 Valley restaurants, watch cooking demonstrations from top chefs and enjoy locally crafted music on two stages.”
Food, fun, and a great discount! Sounds like the perfect day to me. 🙂
Enjoy!
