OK, admit it…you’ve tossed around the idea of trying to eat a vegetarian diet.

Well, if not a full blown vegetarian, at least cutting way back on the amount of meat you eat. We’ve heard for years now that it’s not healthy to eat meat all the time and that we should try to put more plants in our diet.

As an admitted animal lover (both on the plate and off), I do sometimes think I’d like to stop eating meat entirely.

I did once, along with my daughter, for a whole month. Since I do most of the cooking at home, hubby and son ended up with a lot more veggies too, whether they liked it or not.

I will say, it was a lot of work, since I had to constantly think ahead and be prepared so as not to falter when dinnertime came and the only quick choice was a frozen pepperoni pizza or a ham sandwich.

The good thing is, I truly love vegetables just as much, if not more so, than meat. It wouldn’t be that hard of a jump, it’s just one I haven’t chosen to make yet.

And then there are those who not only abide by a vegetarian diet, but have gone all the way to vegan…not only just no meat, but no eggs, dairy, cheese, leather shoes, etc. No animals in the house except to pet!
