The city of Mesa has seen a lot of change over the last 10 years and many are surprised when they find out just how big Mesa really is.

I had a chance to sit down and talk to the Mayor of Mesa, Scott Smith and discuss some of these changes that have occurred over the last decade and some that are underway.

The mayor discussed plans to add five private colleges in the city, and how the light rail will play a large part in building up downtown Mesa.

With the 38th largest population in the United States, Mesa is making its mark in the Southwest.
