PHOENIX — Drivers in the East Valley should beware of overnight ramp closures that are happening this week, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The Interstate 10 ramps to the eastbound Loop 202 Santan Freeway will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday nights for pavement improvement.
Eastbound Loop 202 will be narrowed to two lanes between I-10 and McClintock Drive during that time.
The eastbound ramps at Kyrene Road will also be closed.
The eastbound I-10 HOV lane ramp to eastbound Loop 202 will remain open during the closures.
Drivers are encouraged to use U.S. 60, Ray Road or Chandler Boulevard as alternate routes.
The Loop 202 improvements are expected to continue along sections of the freeway until March, according to ADOT.
Overnight closures on the Loop 101 Pima Freeway in north Phoenix will also continue this week.
The westbound Loop 101 ramps to Interstate 17 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday nights for freeway widening work.
Also, 32nd Street will be closed in both directions at Loop 101 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday nights for bridge work.
